There was a meeting on 3/15 between the architect, builder and AVCON. AVCON wants to finalize the conduits. The Diocese’s representative was also present at this meeting and since the conduits had to be revised, this means a change to the contractor budget (not the capital budget though) and so, the Diocese will request a meeting to further discuss this issue.
Construction of the new church is right on schedule despite the rains. Electrician’s work has been inspected and approved as of today.
Liturgy & Spirituality – Geri
Three members of the Liturgical Committee attended an all day work shop at the Cathedral on February 12, 2011. A power point presentation was given by Monsignor Clay on the revision to the Roman Missal, helping us to understand the revision, the process of revision and how this revision will now shape the Liturgical prayer of the Mass. Handouts on some of the changes to come were offered to PAC members present. Fr. Joseph will discuss this issue with PAC during April’s meeting.
The material was divided into 3 different areas with each table of attendees discussing the material amongst themselves and then sharing their thoughts with the other attendees. This part of the workshop was conducted by Gerard Hall and Sister Mary Agnes, IHM, both of the Office of Worship. More information on the revisions will be coming from the Diocese to the Parishes in the near future.

Buildings & Grounds – Carlos A. and Sam
Fr. Joseph insisted on regular walkthroughs of the 5 buildings to prevent greater damages to the facilities. Mary Kathryn suggested having logs in each room so the users can take note of damages as they occur and this will help Carlos & Sam pinpoint areas to work on and prioritize. One log is being maintained and is located on Trish Clemmer's desk in the Education Building.

Committee heads were asked to start looking at their budgets for the upcoming year – this is due in to Carlos A by 4/15/11. If no budget is submitted by then, the Finance Council will prepare one for that committee.
Also, keep in mind that budgets submitted may not be approved as such, they’ll be carefully revised and checked by the council. Also, it was stressed that all orders of supplies must be checked with Carlos A. first before placing.
The Church’s budget may need to be cut by $72,000 to $100,000 for the upcoming fiscal year. This is due to the fact that we are not meeting the weekly collections targeted. Only 11% of the registered parishioners are supporting the church on an ongoing basis. The parish will also take a look at administrative positions that may need to be trimmed due to budgetary issues.
