Religious Education/Faith Formation – Dan
We have discussed the possibility of moving the Confirmation Program from 8th and 9th grade to 9th and 10th grade and still include the 8th to transform it into a 3 year program. Looking at the maturity level of the students and the fact the diocese has set a program for K-8, it would be advantageous for us to extend the program to fully develop the students understanding and fullness of the step they are taking to be confirmed.
With the absence of the John 6:35 Retreat this year, we have planned one of the 4 days of reflection to include adoration as well as explain why and how we do this in the context of our Catholic faith. The other two sessions will involve service and morality with the fourth session to be determined by Fr. Joseph. We are also considering developing our own parish confirmation weekend retreat by starting out with an overnight lock-in to start. This possibility may occur this year to help cover material that class time will not allow us to complete. This will be on a voluntary basis and not required at this point.
YES will participate as a group at the Brown Bag Ministry the last Sat. in Feb.

Prayer Blanket Ministry:
Continues, with much appreciation by those receiving and also those preparing the blankets.  Sue Broderick is doing a wonderful job in building a small Christian community of women in action, meeting monthly to gather for fellowship, share activities, teach, and learn new tools.  Many of our members like making the fleece, no tie blankets, but the fabric get's expensive after awhile.  New process of having the book in the office is working out fine.  Last two months, some have begun making rosary's to be added to our envelopes.  We will be meeting again on Friday (1/21) after the morning Rosary at Sue's home.
Donations of Joann Fabric's & Hancock Fabric gift cards would be greatly appreciated, as well as any yarn.
